An original song written by my JPOP Idol Group, Melody Parade. Which involved writing lyrics, creating choreography, designing original costumes for and shooting a music video.
Melody Parade, the idol group that I collaborate often on many different projects with, began writing "Mienai Melody" in early 2021. It took a year to produce the song, and in 2022 we set up a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to create an original Music Video.
We raised our entire funding goal within a month and then exceeded it. We believe it was successful due to our heavy campaigning on social media. We released the song on Spotify and shortly after our Tiktok account went viral, with one video gaining 5 Million views.
I designed and sewed the costumes for the video, and we went into production in early 2023. The first video was shot by student filmmakers who unfortunately did not meet our high production standards.
We then made the decision to reshoot the video in September 2023. The final video is now in post-production but will be released before the end of this year to Melody Parade's official YouTube Channel.
